A Colorado buyer looking for a great Colorado business to own and operate for the long term.
If you’re thinking about what comes next for the business you’ve built, I’d welcome a confidential conversation.
Amber Plains is owned and operated by a Colorado native and Army veteran.
I’ve spent my career entering unfamiliar organizations, earning the trust of people who didn’t choose me, and leaving each team stronger than I found it. I’m looking to bring that experience to a business of my own, where I can build a strong team, develop its people, give back to my community, and create lasting value as an owner-operator.
Do right.
Do everything to the best of my ability.
Show people I care.
Build the team first, let results follow
Your people are why the business works. I invest in the team and the culture and let the results follow.
Set direction and standards, then trust
Your leaders know the business. I set clear direction, provide oversight, and let them own execution.
Grow people into leaders
I give people room to grow, make mistakes, and take on more. Great leaders make more great leaders.
Be a steady leader
Consistent and present. Your team will know what to expect from me on good days and hard ones.
Keep my word, with no surprises
What I say in our first conversation is what I do at closing and the years after. If something is wrong, you’ll hear it early and straight from me.
Hold a clear and fair standard
I expect a lot and say so plainly. Everyone knows the standard, and I apply it to myself first.
My commitments to you
Local, long-term ownership
My family has deep roots in Colorado, and we live here. I’ll be present to run the business myself. There is no fund and no exit timeline. My goal is to own and operate the business for the long term and be accountable to its employees and the community.
Respect for the team
You and your people built this business. I value their character and intend to invest in their continued success and careers. I want to create room for them to grow and build more leaders.
Flexible transaction structure
A sale doesn’t have to be all or nothing. I’m open to a transition role, a stake you keep, or seller financing. I’d like to build a relationship based on trust that extends beyond the transaction.
A thoughtful transition
My family owned a Jeep dealership for decades. It passed from my grandfather to my uncles before it was sold, so I understand what it means to hand over a business you built and the employees you care about. I’ll run a transparent, confidential process shaped around your needs and timeline.
What you’ve built matters. I’d welcome the opportunity to hear your story and what you hope for your business and your team.
A sale moves in five steps. You can stop at any of them.
- Step 1
A confidential conversation
We get to know each other and talk about what you want for yourself, your family, and your team.
- Step 2
A first look
We sign an NDA, review a few years of financials, and talk about your team, customers, and suppliers.
- Step 3
Letter of intent
We outline the proposed price, transaction structure, your role after closing, and an expected timeline.
- Step 4
Diligence and financing
I coordinate with my lender, investors, CPA, and attorney to complete due diligence and arrange financing. I’ll remain your primary point of contact and explain what I need, why I need it, and what to expect along the way.
- Step 5
Closing and transition
Ownership transfers, and we follow the transition plan we’ve agreed on together.
